How do they type so fast? How long has it been? Who decided on THAT movie?

These are just a few of the thoughts that run through my head after I leave my phone alone for 5 minutes, and return to a group message inbox of 150 unread messages. Are all of these messages of vital importance? No - but that doesn't mean I don't want to read them. Especially when my weekend plans have already been set in place without my knowledge, let alone my opinion.[/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label="P" background_layout="light" text_orientation="left" text_text_color="#333333" border_style="solid" custom_css_main_element="text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;" text_font_size="18" text_font="Open Sans||||" text_letter_spacing="1" text_line_height="1.5" background_position="top_left" background_repeat="repeat" background_size="initial" _builder_version="3.0.80" module_alignment="left"]The same applies to social media approval and planning when it comes to creating content. People are busy, time flies by, and all of a sudden you realize you've allowed a social post to publish that may not represent a brand in the best way. But how do you know if you need a social media approval workflow?[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row background_position="top_left" background_repeat="repeat" background_size="initial"][et_pb_column type="4_4"][et_pb_image src="https://heyorca.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/Screen-Shot-2016-04-21-at-7.46.36-PM.png" show_in_lightbox="off" url_new_window="off" use_overlay="off" animation="off" sticky="off" align="center" force_fullwidth="off" always_center_on_mobile="on" use_border_color="off" border_color="#ffffff" border_style="solid" alt="social media approval meme" title_text="social media approvals meme" /][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row background_position="top_left" background_repeat="repeat" background_size="initial"][et_pb_column type="4_4"][et_pb_text admin_label="P" background_layout="light" text_text_color="#333333" border_style="solid" custom_css_main_element="text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;" text_font_size="18" text_font="Open Sans||||" text_letter_spacing="1" text_line_height="1.5" background_position="top_left" background_repeat="repeat" background_size="initial" _builder_version="3.0.80" module_alignment="left"]In the grand scheme of things, the use of a social media approval workflow is dependent on the size of the business. Smaller, boutique retailers, for example, shouldn't worry about getting content approved. Their concern should simply be publishing content and making themselves noticed among the noise. Larger agencies that need to collaborate with a large number of clients effectively are another story. What about larger corporations that have millions of followers and fans on social media channels? They would benefit from having content approved or reviewed. Everybody can make mistakes, but no company is immune from screenshots, retweets, or shares. No matter how fast you delete a post.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row admin_label="row" make_fullwidth="off" use_custom_width="off" width_unit="on" use_custom_gutter="off" padding_mobile="off" allow_player_pause="off" parallax="off" parallax_method="off" make_equal="off" parallax_1="off" parallax_method_1="off" column_padding_mobile="on" background_position="top_left" background_repeat="repeat" background_size="initial"][et_pb_column type="4_4"][et_pb_text admin_label="H2" background_layout="light" text_orientation="left" use_border_color="off" border_color="#ffffff" border_style="solid" background_position="top_left" background_repeat="repeat" background_size="initial" module_alignment="left"]

When to use a Social Media Approval Workflow

1. Agency and Client Relationship

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label="P" background_layout="light" text_orientation="left" text_text_color="#333333" use_border_color="off" border_color="#ffffff" border_style="solid" custom_css_main_element="text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;" text_font_size="18" text_font="Open Sans||||" text_letter_spacing="1" text_line_height="1.5" background_position="top_left" background_repeat="repeat" background_size="initial" module_alignment="left" _builder_version="3.0.80"]As an agency, you create campaigns for any sort of company under the sun. So what if you create campaigns for a company that distributes medical supplies? Now, I'm not sure about what program you did, but I know that my degree in Business doesn't cover medical instruments and supplies, or how they're used. By combining a client's industry and product expertise and your marketing skills when reviewing content, you'll be able to create content that is factually correct, and stay true to the voice of the brand. Promoting a collaborative professional relationship as well as being transparent will also drive higher customer satisfaction. After all, the best agency - client relationship is collaborative in nature![/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label="P" background_layout="light" text_orientation="left" text_text_color="#333333" use_border_color="off" border_color="#ffffff" border_style="solid" custom_css_main_element="text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;" text_font_size="18" text_font="Open Sans||||" text_letter_spacing="1" text_line_height="1.5" background_position="top_left" background_repeat="repeat" background_size="initial" module_alignment="left" _builder_version="3.0.80"]

Take press conferences of special announcements for instance. This is an example of when approvals would be critical, ensuring that everyone who needs to be involved can sign off and approve social posts - also that the posts are completely accurate.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row background_position="top_left" background_repeat="repeat" background_size="initial"][et_pb_column type="4_4"][et_pb_text admin_label="H4" background_layout="light" text_orientation="left" use_border_color="off" border_color="#ffffff" border_style="solid" background_position="top_left" background_repeat="repeat" background_size="initial" module_alignment="left"]

It's times like these that being able to voice your brand's messages of hope or concerns and putting less relevant social posts on hold is important. Continuing to publish posts regarding products or campaigns may not be considered appropriate when everyone on social media has their attention directed to a world event.[/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label="P" background_layout="light" text_orientation="left" text_text_color="#333333" use_border_color="off" border_color="#ffffff" border_style="solid" custom_css_main_element="text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;" text_font_size="18" text_font="Open Sans||||" text_letter_spacing="1" text_line_height="1.5" background_position="top_left" background_repeat="repeat" background_size="initial" module_alignment="left" _builder_version="3.0.80"]

This is one of the reasons why Mark Zuckerberg noted Live video and streaming has become so popular! Customers are a lot more likely to engage and respond to companies who use social media as a way to humanize their brand or show their brand persona - that means retweeting, sharing, liking, and live streaming. So for quick interactions with customers, it's a lot better to be quick and personal than waiting for a retweet to be approved.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row background_position="top_left" background_repeat="repeat" background_size="initial"][et_pb_column type="4_4"][et_pb_text admin_label="P" background_layout="light" text_orientation="left" text_text_color="#333333" border_style="solid" custom_css_main_element="text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;" text_font_size="18" text_font="Open Sans||||" text_letter_spacing="1" text_line_height="1.5" background_position="top_left" background_repeat="repeat" background_size="initial" _builder_version="3.0.72" module_alignment="left"]
