Elevate Your Instagram Game: Direct Publishing Is Now Available for Creator Accounts!

We know how important Instagram Creator account features can be to your teams’ workflow! That’s why we’re so excited to share that a recent update from Meta now allows you to directly publish Instagram content using both Creator and Business accounts from HeyOrca! 

Now you don’t have to choose between keeping your account as a creator account to get Instagram’s creator features, or converting it to a business account for direct publishing!

In this blog post, we're here to show you how to do it and tell you why it's a game-changer if you have a creator account!

How to Connect Your Instagram Creator Account for Direct Publishing

To set your creator account up for direct publishing in HeyOrca, you'll need to connect it to a Facebook page. To learn how to do this, check out Facebook's guide by clicking here!

Once your creator account is paired to a Facebook page, you just need to authorize it in HeyOrca as a business profile!

To do this, click the 'Business Profile' option from the menu above when prompted during the account connection process!

Once completed, your creator account will be set up for direct publishing! You can further adjust your Instagram publishing details by visiting your calendar settings page and using the drop down menu!

Understanding Instagram Direct Publishing

First things first, what is Instagram Direct Publishing? It's a feature that allows you to schedule and publish posts directly to Instagram from HeyOrca. This eliminates the need to manually post content on Instagram, saving you precious time and keeping your content consistent.

Here's how it works: You connect your Instagram Business or Creator account to HeyOrca and create your content within the calendar. Once you’ve finished creating your post, choose your desired scheduling time and date and HeyOrca will do the rest!

Benefits of an Instagram Creator Account

Now, you might be wondering, why should I use a Creator account? Great question! Instagram introduced the Creator account to provide influencers, content producers, artists, and other public figures with features specifically tailored to their needs.

1. Trending Audio: Creator Accounts have access to Instagram’s library of trending audio that they can use for their content! Note: At the moment, due to restrictions from Meta, we can’t add trending audio directly to HeyOrca. For this reason, we have our mobile notifications and a new feature we’re working on called publishing notes that you can use to add trending audio links to!

2. Flexibility: Unlike business accounts, Creator accounts have the option to make their profiles private. This allows you to control who sees your content while still having access to the extensive analytics and direct publishing options.

3. Detailed analytics: Creator accounts provide advanced insights like engagement statistics, follower demographics, and peak activity times. These tools can help you understand your audience better and tailor your content strategy for maximum impact.

4. Simplified messaging: Creator accounts have a filtered inbox for messages, making it easier to manage message requests and connect with your audience.

By connecting your creator account, you can retain all of your creator account privileges, while still having the option to publish your content directly from HeyOrca.
