This new test is currently taking place in New Zealand and the Philippines. With this test, new users will have to pay a $1 annual subscription to be able to post and interact with other accounts.

Meta:

Meta expands broadcast channels to Facebook and Messenger

Broadcast Channels have been a success on Instagram, so Meta thought it was time to expand the feature to Facebook and Messenger. This will provide even more ways for creators to connect with their audience.

Instagram:

Instagram tests out polls within comments

Instagram is currently testing the ability to have polls in the comment section on feed posts and Reels.

TikTok:

TikTok partners with Disney

To celebrate 100 years of Disney, the popular brand has now partnered with TikTok. There will be limited-time activations, video clips, trivia, games and more.

Threads:

Threads may be implementing a messaging feature

It has been leaked that Threads is working on a DM feature. It looks like the messaging feature will be end-to-end encrypted with a self-vanishing option.

Threads adds Instagram profile tags

You can now tag someone's Instagram profile in a Threads post. Doing so will allow Threads users to follow the tagged profile.

YouTube:

YouTube is adding visual cues to certain buttons

It's super common for creators to say "like and subscribe" in their videos. Now when they say those words, there will be visual cues showing over the Like and Subscribe buttons.
