Our Favourite Brands on Social Media

But what about the brands who day in and day out produce great social media content? We want to celebrate the brand heros of social media who keep us guessing with their killer social media game.
1. Everlane - Instagram
[embed]https://www.instagram.com/p/BQeVs2Pl1e5/?taken-by=everlane[/embed]If you are only going to checkout out one brand on Instagram, or any account for that matter, Everlane is a must. If you've never heard of the clothing brand, I like to think of it as an American Zara. Their photos alone are always intriguing, not to mention their filter game and color theme. What I particularly love about Everlane's Instagram strategy is the amount of ways in which they manipulate the platform to help their brand. Content varies from behind the scenes and product launches to sneak peeks and shopping. They use Instagram Stories to highlight company culture and host #TransparencyTuesday where they respond to customer questions and inquiries. I challenge you to find a brand with a stronger Instagram game.
2. Aerie - Facebook

Aerie takes the concept of real models, without photoshopping or touchups, to the next level. Their promotion of diversity and inclusion not only broadens their reach of potential audiences and customers, but also drives consumer-generated content. As society grows more resilient to fabricated standards of beauty, brands must adjust their social media strategies to these changes - and Aerie has done a fantastic job. It's all about being relatable to your audience.
3. Whole Foods - Twitter
The health grocery store chain Whole Foods does a great job of targeting and engaging their ideal audience on Twitter. They offer valuable content for health-conscious consumers like recipes and food facts, as well as promotions. Whole Foods doesn't mind putting their brand on the sidelines, as that's an approach more companies should be using. Audiences want personal and genuine interactions with brands, so don't worry about always having your logo upfront and centre. Additionally, Whole Foods does a great job showcasing their corporate social responsibility initiatives.
4. Buzzfeed - YouTube
This one is a no brainer. Though a large chunk of Buzzfeed is dedicated to other forms of internet media like news and quizzes that tell you what kitchen appliance you are (which all of a sudden seem very crucial come final exams), their YouTube channel is where they really shine. Currently at 12 million subscribers and growing, Buzzfeed has no intentions of stopping any time soon. I credit their success to creating up to trend, valuable, and unique content. Their YouTube Channel has sub-channels, like the ever so popular Tasty, for viewers who want a narrower scope of video content to choose from, as well as recurring shows like Ladylike and The Try Guys. Buzzfeed has also become a popular avenue for influencer marketing as brands recognize the massive reach and following potential.
5. Hubspot - LinkedIn
The worlds leading inbound marketing and sales platform also has one of the most impressive LinkedIn pages - what a surprise. Hubspot uses LinkedIn in a variety of ways compared to most. Without going into much depth on their page you get a sense of how much value they place on company culture and employees. By showcasing their sales and marketing blog articles on LinkedIn, Hubspot also integrates the platform as part of their lead generation strategy.Even though our favorite brands are big cheeses in the social media game, there's no reason why you can't adopt some of their strategies and incorporate them into your brand's approach to social media. By adding your own flavour to social media content, not only will you create your own voice, but you'll also keep audiences engaged and wanting more.
