1. What is Facebook Creator Studio? 

Facebook Creator Studio was a free social media management tool for managing business Facebook and Instagram pages in one place. Users could create, manage, monetize, and measure content, as well as reply to comments and inbox messages. It was a great solution for small businesses without a budget for a paid social media scheduler.

Creator Studio has since been replaced with Meta Business Suite, a similar free tool for social media management. 

2. Where is Creator Studio on Facebook? 

There were 2 ways to access Facebook Creator Studio: 

  • Visiting facebook.com/CreatorStudio 
  • Navigating to your Facebook Page > clicking the Publishing Tools button on the sidebar > selecting "Creator Studio" under the "Tools" section in the sidebar

Since Creator Studio is no longer available, users will be redirected to Meta Business Suite at the link above. 

3. Was Facebook Creator Studio free?

Yes, Creator Studio was a free tool available on desktop and the Facebook Creator Studio app. 

4. Is Creator Studio still available on Facebook?

Unfortunately, Creator Studio is no longer available. Facebook and Instagram Creator Studio has been replaced with Meta Business Suite, which offers the same functionality with a new name and interface.

If you can’t find Creator Studio on Facebook it’s because it has been replaced by Meta Business Suite. After a trial period where both tools were available, the switch officially happened in October 2023. According to Meta, Business Suite has many of the same features for planning, posting, and monetizing content.

Facebook Creator Studio is no longer available because it has been replaced with Meta Business Suite. After rebranding, Meta created a new free platform where social media marketers can manage Facebook and Instagram pages in one place. 

While change can be overwhelming, Business Suite still has many similar features that allow businesses and creators to plan and optimize their social media content.

7. What is Meta Business Suite? 

Meta Business Suite is a free social media management tool for businesses and creators. Available on desktop and mobile, users can manage their Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger accounts in one place by scheduling or publishing posts, creating ads, reviewing analytics, replying to comments and direct messages, and more. 

Similar to Facebook Creator Studio, Meta Business Suite is an easy way for businesses to connect and manage social media activity. 

8. How to set up Meta Business Suite?

To set up Meta Business Suite, you’ll first need a business page on Facebook or Instagram. From there, you can create an account in Meta Business Suite to connect and manage your business’s Facebook and Instagram pages in one place.  

For initial setup, follow these steps: 

  • Go to Meta Business Suite on desktop or mobile and log in to your business’s Facebook Page. 
  • In the drop-down menu on the left side of your screen, select “+Create a business account.” Steps should then appear to guide you through the process. 

Once complete, your Facebook business Page should be automatically connected, but you’ll have to connect your Instagram account manually.

10. How to add an instagram account to Meta Business Suite? 

To fully manage your Instagram account in Meta Business Suite, it should be added to your business portfolio and connected to your business’s Facebook Page.  

On desktop, follow these steps to add an Instagram account to your Meta Business Suite business portfolio

  • In Meta Business Suite, click through the following: “Settings” in the sidebar on the left > “Business assets” > “Add assets” > “Instagram account” 
  • Terms and conditions will appear for your review. Once accepted select “Claim Instagram account” 
  • Log in to your business’s Instagram account in the new window that opens (if you’re already logged into Instagram, either select the account you want to connect or click “Switch accounts” to log in to the right account)
  • You’ll be prompted to use two-factor authentication or to log in again to verify your credentials. Then click “Confirm” 

Once it’s added to your business portfolio in Meta Business Suite, you’ll also have to connect your Instagram account to your Facebook page. This allows you to share posts and photos, create ads, and manage comments and direct messages. It can be done in a few steps:  

  • On Facebook, navigate to the Page you want to connect to your professional Instagram account. (Note: This must be a professional Instagram account, this cannot be done with personal accounts)
  • Click through the following: “Manage” > “Professional dashboard” from the menu on the left > “Linked accounts” > “Connect account”
  • You’ll then be prompted to log in to your Instagram account 

If you prefer to use the Meta Business Suite app, the steps for connecting your Instagram account on mobile vary slightly. 

11. How to use Meta Business Suite? 

Businesses and creators can use a bunch of Meta Business Suite features to manage their Facebook and Instagram pages and engage with their audience. Get the most of the platform by using Meta Business Suite to: 

  • Schedule or publish posts and stories
  • Create ads, promote organic posts, or boost your page 
  • Engage with your audience in your inbox by replying to comments and messages or assigning them to other members of your team
  • Create automated replies for commonly asked questions
  • Review post and ad analytics to improve performance
  • Monitor page activity and notifications 
  • Use Commerce Manager to customize your shop and view insights
  • Manage page and partner permissions 

Also, ensure that everyone on your social media team has the right access to Meta Business Suite. 

12. How to add someone to Meta Business Suite?

Before adding a user to Meta Business Suite, make sure that you have full access. From there, you can add someone in a few steps: 

  • In Meta Business Suite, click on “Settings” and then “+ Invite people” 
  • Enter the person’s email and the type of access you want to give them
  • Select the asset that you want to assign and the type of access (only assign what they need to do their job)
  • After reviewing, click “Send request” and the invitation will go to the person’s email for confirmation 

If you’d prefer to assign access in Business Manager, the steps are slightly different: 

  • In Business Manager, click on “Business settings” > “Users” > “People” > “Invite people”
  • The other steps are the same as above when entering the person’s email, assigning necessary access, and sending the invitation. 

13. How to create an event in Meta Business Suite? 

Events can only be created directly on a business’s Facebook Page and cannot be created or managed in Meta Business Suite. Meta has an easy step-by-step video showing how to create an event on Facebook

14. How do you change your profile name in Meta Business Suite? 

You can edit your profile name and email in Meta Business Manager using the following steps: 

  • In Meta Business Manager, click through the following: “Business settings” > “Business info” > “Edit” in the “My info” section
  • Update your name and/or email and click “Save.” (Note that email changes must be confirmed through a verification email). 

15. Can I use Meta Business Suite without Facebook?

You need either a Facebook business Page or an Instagram business account to use Meta Business Suite. It’s possible to access Meta Business Suite with just an Instagram account, but it has to be linked to a Facebook Page. 

16. Is Meta Business Suite free?

Yes, Meta Business Suite is completely free. 

17. What’s the difference between Meta Business Suite and Meta Business Manager? 

The difference between Meta Business Suite vs Business Manager is that Business Suite is for the front end of your social media accounts, while Business Manager is for the back end. 

Meta Business Suite is where you can do everything that people see — like plan and post content and send messages. Meta Business Manager lets you manage the operations of your page, including user permissions and ad campaign creation and analysis.
