Who are you? What is your background?

My name is Luke Tobin and I am the Commercial Director here at Digital Ethos, an award-winning full-service digital agency, founded in 2014. We provide everything a business needs to survive online, from SEO to web design, PPC to social media.

I have always had a background in marketing, which I actually fell into!

I had an e-commerce website and realised that I wanted to understand how to get it to market and how to make it function well, so I booked myself onto lots of training and courses. I was then approached by an agency for a job, which I fell in love with.

However, I soon realised their approach to client communications was very hidden and ‘black hat’. I then saw a gap in the market for a digital marketing agency that aimed to lift the veil on marketing tactics and be more transparent and consultative with clients - hence the birth of Digital Ethos.

How would you describe Digital Ethos?

I would describe Digital Ethos as an innovative, creative and agile agency that places special emphasis on consultative and transparent communication with our clients. We love to add personality and a human touch to every marketing campaign which is why we’ve achieved great results for our clients.

The team at Digital Ethos work incredibly hard to keep up with the latest marketing and industry trends in an ever-changing digital landscape, ensuring that key learnings are applied to all client campaigns. I believe this is what sets us apart from the competition!

What does your agency do especially well? What is your speciality?

At Digital Ethos, we understand that we are the first generation to truly live in a digital age. It’s a great time to be alive - creating and sharing incredible things online has never been easier.

This is one of the reasons why we specialise in digital marketing services, such as SEO, social media, PPC and digital PR as well as website design and development.

With SEO in particular, we really drill down into which type of campaign is best for our clients, whether it’s local, national, international or e-commerce - all guaranteed to improve our clients’ visibility in search engine results.

How would you describe your workplace/office culture?

Our office culture strikes the perfect balance between work and life. The whole team go above and beyond to ensure that all campaigns are performing to the best of their ability and that all clients are happy with the services they’re receiving.

Outside of this, we encourage a relaxed and flexible working atmosphere, often visiting the local pub opposite the office (especially for Friday afternoon beers!) and we have lots of team nights out too! 

We’re like a family and just get on really well with each other, which is one of the best things about Digital Ethos.

How do you foster a sense of community in your office/workplace?

Everyone here believes that if you find what you love to do, then you’ll never work a day in your life. For us, digital marketing isn’t just our job, it’s our passion and we’re great at what we do. It’s this belief that brings us together as a team and it really shows in the work that we do for all clients.

Whilst operating in a fast-paced industry, we also adopt an educational culture and are always sharing the latest knowledge and insights through useful blog posts and social media updates. You’ll see us sharing best practices, participating in weekly training sessions, hosting webinars and running client workshops and more.
