Meet The Pod
Steph
Product Manager
Steph is our Product Manager at HeyOrca, making all the tough decisions so agencies have seamless software to run their business. Steph started her HeyOrca journey in customer success but quickly developed a knack for product management. Steph is also a talented musician under the moniker ‘Steffi the Artist’ and released her debut album ‘Roundabouts’ in 2019.
Joe
Chief Executive Orca
Joe started HeyOrca in 2016 when he saw a need for a content creation and collaboration tool in social media agencies. When Joe is not leading his team to help agencies take back their day, he enjoys photography and hiking along the Newfoundland coast with his wife, Margarita.
Ayla
Account Manager
Ayla splits her time in HeyOrca between helping our customers on support and managing our clients accounts. Ayla is a dedicated orca who consistently improves our customer experience every day! Ayla is also passionate about education and was recently accepted into her Masters of Education – congrats Ayla!
Datis Mohsenipour
Director of Marketing
Datis oversees HeyOrca’s Marketing operations and is responsible for helping agencies discover how HeyOrca can help them save time on managing social media and approvals. During his downtime, you’ll find Datis getting his foodie fix, taking hikes with his partner and pup, and partaking in adrenaline-pumping activities.
Noah Novick
Software Engineer
Noah works as a software engineer for HeyOrca building features to help agency professionals and social media managers take back their day! If he’s not at work; he’s probably biking.
Liana
Finance and Operations
Liana is our Finance and Ops orca at the office and she helps make sure all of our orcas are taken care of. Liana is known for her thoughtful gestures at the office whether it’s buying a birthday card or delivering snacks to help fuel the team. While not at work Liana is a loving plant mom and has over 15 different plants at her home!
Mark
Software Developer
Mark is one of our talented developers at HeyOrca! Mark is known for his quick and flawless code and tackling large projects to help our clients take back their day! When not contributing to HeyOrca’s software, Mark helps run an optometrist clinic with his wife Jenn and chases around his toddler, Oliver.
Moe
Software Developer
Moe is a crucial part of our developer team. Moe is often helping our support specialists deliver an amazing customer experience for our clients. Moe is responsible for many of our favourite features including our Canva integration! When Moe is not working he runs a busy household of two toddlers, two huskies, and two cats with his wife, Zoha.
Dorian Neto
Software Engineer
Dorian works as a Software Engineer at HeyOrca. When he’s not working on structuring new features and tools in HeyOrca, you’ll find him tuned into his favorite shows, playing RPG games, or enjoying card games with his friends and family.
Becca Penney
Customer Support Specialist
Becca works as a Customer Support Specialist at HeyOrca. When she’s not operating the chat lines and providing stellar support to our customers, you can find Becca studying software development, playing RPG games, or managing her personal mini zoo of four pets!
Shiplu
QA Engineer
Shiplu is our resident bug hunter! Shiplu helps our developers find bugs within our code but in his words ‘it’s challenging to find bugs with this talented team’. Shiplu started his journey at HeyOrca while starting a Masters of Computer Science at Memorial University which he will soon be graduating from – congrats to Shiplu!
Casey
Customer Success Manager
Casey is one of the friendly faces you will meet when you contact our world class support! Casey is incredibly dedicated to making sure our customers have an amazing experience every time they log into HeyOrca. When she’s not helping our customers, Casey is an artist and pin designer who runs Ginger Pins and Designs – check her out on Instagram!
JP
Software Developer
JP helps our development team bring great features to our customers. JP is our DevOps whiz and helps our support team solve any issues for our clients. When not at work, JP spends time at home with his wife, Emily and greyhound, Brynn.
Julia Farrell
Customer Success Manager
Have questions? Julia is your girl! Julia is one of our dedicated Customer Success Managers that loves chatting with all of our amazing clients on our support channel. When she isn’t working on support, she loves educating potential clients on all of the features HeyOrca has to offer! In her spare time, Julia can be found curled up with her favorite poetry book or scaling a rock wall.
Oscar the Orca
Resident Orca
Oscar is our beloved mascot! Oscar is a visual representation of our company’s character – sociable and fun 🙂 Oscar was created by St.John’s based UX/UI designer, Larry Penney in 2015. Since then, Oscar has been synonymous with HeyOrca!
