Using Event Strips in HeyOrca
Below you’ll find a video tutorial and step-by-step written instructions on how to use Event Strips to organize your Calendar in HeyOrca.
What Are Event Strips?
Event Strips are visual tags that you can add to your Calendar to help get your team and clients on the same page about important events.
You can use them for things like recurring themed posts, annual holidays, special events and campaigns, and monthly deadlines.
You can also use them to highlight content strategies or as a place to keep notes like frequently used hashtags.
You can create individual Event Strips for one-time events, or create repeating Event Strips for recurring events.
How to Create Event Strips
On your Calendar view, hover over any day and click “new event”. You’ll be taken to the Event Strip editor where you can customize the details of your Event Strip.
Now, you can start filling in the details of your event. Type in the name of your new event, as well as change the color by clicking on the color box.
Choose the start and end time for your event from a Calendar Biew.
Next, you can choose your event frequency by clicking on the “Repeat” drop down menu to choose how often you’d like the Event Strip to display.
By default, the Event Strip will be set as “does not repeat.” But you can set the Event Strip to display as frequently as once a day, or once a year.
Add the details of the event, notes, dates, or anything you would like here. This information will display in a white box in your Calendar View any time someone hovers over the Event Strip.
Click “Create” and check out your Event Strip on the Calendar!
Need to reschedule an Event Strip? Simply drag and drop it on the new start day.
