As we’re all aware, Instagram is moving more towards video content (check out this video from Instagram’s CEO Adam Mosseri talking about what is to come in 2022).
This means that you really need to start incorporating video content into your social strategies. But, don’t stress! We are here to teach you the different features Instagram Reels has to offer.
Today, we will teach you how to sync text to video clips in Instagram Reels.
How to Sync Text to Video Clips in Instagram Reels
We have a video format of the tutorial above, or you can keep reading below. We upload new how-to content each week so be sure to subscribe to our Youtube channel.
Step 1: Add the videos you’d like to edit into Reels and select Done and Preview. This will then bring you to the edit screen.
Step 2: Once in the edit screen, pop in the text you’d like to show throughout the video (don’t worry, all of the text can go here and we will sync it next).
Step 3: As you can see in the screenshot below, at the bottom of your screen there are 2 bubbles that represent your text. We are going to select the first one and drag the trimmer to only highlight where you want this text to show. Once complete select Done in the top right-hand corner. Then, repeat this step for your other text.
Step 4: You’re done! Now your text will show when you want it to and disappear when you want it to in your Instagram Reel.

We know that it can be challenging to learn a new feature on a social platform or keep up with the latest news. We have a weekly newsletter called The Weekly Brief that can help with just that. Be sure to subscribe!
